As is known, Balázs Dörnyei's side hosted defending champions Ferencváros at the academy last Saturday. The visitors took the lead late in the first half and, although we had chances to equalise after the interval, the green-and-whites ultimately managed to preserve their one-goal advantage. On Sunday we travel to Miskolc for Round 7 of the Simple Women's League, where we continue our campaign away to DVTK.
DVTK's women's team underwent significant changes over the summer and began the 2026-2027 season in cooperation with its partner club from Eger. The squad is therefore made up of players from both Diósgyőr and Eger, while László Vitányi took over as head coach. The league season has not gone well for our opponents so far: they have yet to pick up a point and therefore go into the match from last place in the table. DVTK played in Felcsút in the previous round, where they suffered an eight-goal defeat.
Supporter information:
- The match kicks off at 16:00 on Sunday, September 13 at the DVTK Training Centre.

They also reached the Hungarian Cup final twice, and last season they faced us in the semi-final. The tie was decided by a penalty shoot-out, after which our team secured a place in the final.

We have faced DVTK five times in total so far, with three of those meetings coming last season. Although we lost 3–2 at the DVTK Training Centre last autumn, we managed to beat our opponents in the spring league match. Our most recent trip to Miskolc was in March, when we came through the memorable Hungarian Cup semi-final after a penalty shoot-out, allowing our team to play in the final again after ten years.
