Our women's team returned home with a nine-goal victory from Videoton FC Fehérvár last Saturday in Round 10 of the Simple Női Liga, clinching their fourth consecutive win. Players who had seen fewer minutes this season also earned valuable playing time in the match and took full advantage of the opportunity. Nelli Szilvási bagged a brace, while Hanna Alasz and Linett Bozsik each contributed a goal – all three scoring their first NB I goals in Honvéd colours. Eszter Csáki also found the net against the Székesfehérvár side, and Fanni Vachter rounded off the day with a hat-trick, tying Samantha Tristan at the top of the goalscorers' chart.
Balázs Dörnyei's side also kick off their campaign in the Simple Női Kupa this weekend. Having reached the cup final last season for the first time in ten years, our team's aim this year is once again to go as deep as possible and fight for the trophy in the final. Our first journey takes us to Zalaegerszeg, where we visit ZTE FC of the NB II Western Group on Saturday at 11:00. Our opponents have enjoyed a flawless start to the season, winning all three of their league games to top the table with nine points. They have also fared well in the cup, securing qualification against SC Sopron and Budaörs.
