István Körtvélyesi's side played away at league leaders Gyulai Termál FC in the previous round. Our lads got off to a fantastic start: Kristóf Kenéz found the net twice in less than fifteen minutes. Although being reduced to ten men changed the dynamic of the match, our team still went into the break with a one-goal advantage. After the restart, the hosts leveled through an unfortunate own goal, and then secured all three points at home with Martin Juhász's 94th-minute strike. Following the final whistle, our head coach highlighted that while we conceded avoidable goals due to individual defensive mistakes, there was no issue with the team's mentality and focus. He emphasized that standing our ground for 45 minutes with ten men against an experienced opponent was commendable.
Another week brings another serious challenge for our team, as III. Kerületi TVE visits Kispest this Sunday. The blue-and-whites sit second in the championship standings; their five-match unbeaten run was halted by Vasas, making Round 6 the first – and only – time they dropped all three points. The club had a coaching change over the summer: Tamás Györök transitioned into a new role as sporting director, while his former assistant coach, Gábor Kaszai, took over on the touchline.
