Fanni Vachter's hat-trick decides the clash against PMFC

On Saturday at 12:30, we kicked off Round 14 of the Simple Női Liga against PMFC. Crucial points were at stake at the Bozsik Aréna: not only did we want to extend our winning streak, but after Saturday's encounter, only two league fixtures remain for us this year.

The opening goal took just four minutes to arrive: following a pass from Maria Palama—who had scored in the previous round—Fanni Vachter calmly slotted into the bottom right corner to give us the lead (1–0). The response came quickly, however, as PMFC captain Virág Bocz positioned herself well from a corner and flicked the ball into our net (1–1). In the 21st minute, Vachter struck again, beautifully lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper (2–1). In the 25th minute, Vachter played in Panna Nagy near the six-yard box, but a visiting defender managed to clear off the goal line. Shortly after, Simona Horváthová took a corner kick, but Pécs goalkeeper Noémi Török reacted in time to deny her. Late in the first half, Fanni Vachter found the net once more, completing her third hat-trick of the season and maintaining her position at the top of the Simple Női Liga scoring charts (3–1).

Our team went into the second half with a two-goal cushion. After the restart, Rebeka Róth tried her luck from 17 meters, but the ball flew just wide of the post. Soon after, Zolna Tóth came close to pulling one back for the visitors, while Panna Nagy aimed for the top-left corner at the other end, but no further goals were scored in the second half. Our women's team thus recorded a 3–1 victory over PMFC, marking their ninth consecutive competitive win.

Balázs Dörnyei's side will next be in action away at ETO FC on Saturday at 13:00.
